wow. okay, a lot of long stories for this one, I'm sorry.

I've had this image in my head for a long time... I love listening to this music... it makes me so peaceful. when I hear this song, the tempo always makes me think of some sort of solemn waltz or slow dance. I was finally inspired to put it down on paper by * neogeen's contest, though I'm not sure I'm going to submit it or anything. it's just something I wanted to try.

the characters in this are myself and Tigrin as an anthro. I actually own that dress, and my hair looked just like that when I was wearing it. I bought it for a Homecoming dance I went to... the only dance I've gone to all through high school so far, and that was my Internet friend's dance. that was last March. I knew him for about three years, but I haven't heard from him since that night... I don't even know if he's still alive. I guess that's what you get for making friendships on the Internet. I wonder how that night would have been different if I had known I'd never see him again?

... little known fact: I am a terribly, TERRIBLY hopeless romantic. and I mean hopeless.

so this has a lot of special meaning to me, I guess. the color scheme/background is, of course, heavily inspired by ~yamaneko's beautiful grayscale and fire art, hope she doesn't mind.
