got some suggestions for a pit furrecat fighting scene, and I originally started this sketch in PaintChat over a week ago... I was really happy with how it was coming along, but the chat reset on me right in the middle of working on it. was kinda discouraged, but I really liked it... so I found the paintbrush tool in Photoshop was really similar to the tool I was using in PaintChat, and finished this up just now. went through a small variety of different color tones and contrast changes before I decided I liked this best for the mood of the picture and the characters.

I know I've explained Vampiress before but I've never been able to figure out Silence's connection to her. the other night I was thinking about it and this is sort of what I have so far:
Silence is Vampiress' younger sibling, not sure how much younger... not too much. Silence was born pretty much completely blind. Because of this, Silence is for the most part ignored as a kitten, though always kept together in a cage with his sister, who he sort of clings to. Vampiress as a kitten was of course a lot more playful and innocent, though with a tendency to play rough and bounce back when pushed. So Vampiress' human trainers took her up for pit "training", which usually involved different methods of torture and cognitive conditioning to beat the compassion out of Vampiress and direct all her energies to reacting violently. After every session, young Vampiress would be stuck back in a cage with Silence, who she'd sort of bounce off of in her rage and trauma. Silence would be left severely confused and shaken after every night of this, unable to understand what was going on... but he does not want to say anything about his sister's abuse, for fear she might be further hurt or taken away from him. He becomes highly submissive; since he's blind he never really learns facial expressions, so on the outside he also looks apathetic. Vampiress and Silence are later seperated as they grow older and Vampiress can no longer be controlled. Silence has become something of a joke, and the barbed wire is applied to him as a cruel prank and left. As his name implies he now hardly ever speaks and tends to act as a sort of living punching bag, too lost in his memories of trauma and confusion. errmyep. that's Vampiress and Silence.

don't particularly know what's going on in this scene. maybe someone thought it would be funny to have Vampiress and Silence fight against each other. Vampiress is, of course, so completely anti-social she could probably kill her own brother if she wanted to... though it's unlikely. I meant to exaggerate her in this to really bring out just how... horribly terrifying she is. ee;
