This is one of my early assignments for Animation III... I had to do three pages of three different emotions -- anger, sadness, and happiness -- with six poses on each page. and they had to be of the character I chose to use for the class. So here are a bunch of sketches of Eloi in various stages of completion. I would have scanned these earlier, but I drew these all on 12 field animation paper, so it was a pain to scan and put together. 8|

"You so ugly your birth certificate is an apology letter from the condom factory!"
I love this. So many varied expressions. He retains something very feline about the moods and elasticity of expression, I think. It's great that you considered what happens to the glasses in different situations instead of just assuming they're glued to his head. Good attention to realistic details. I do very much like the one pose with the long coat. That as a costume and a prop has potential to be fun, and it looks great.

You'd never tell someone with cancer to 'just snap out of it'- Depression is real. [link]
wow I wish I could do this lol these are such amazing poses! :D just by watching some of the animations you do and looking at the character I am really starting to like Eloi :) he's a fun character from what I have been seeing. Keep up the awesome work you are doing an amazing job! :D

I was surprised that scanners big enough for 12 field are not commonly available and extremely expensive. you should look at using a digital camera and the free (unrestricted shareware and $75 if you want to support the guy who made it) software called Stop Motion Station.

I don't mind scanning things in pieces, it's just tedious. ^^; I have a Mac, so... that software wouldn't work for me... thanks though.
That software is based on a program designed for the Amiga which has been altered to work on a Mac... but this program is a bit different. I will check around for what they use on their Macs (they had lots of Macs and PC's beside each other doing the same tasks... and a couple old Amigas for backups when newer computers were all being used)
